About SilverChef
IF YOU decide to rent, lease or buy ‘Certified Used’ or clearance equipment from SilverChef, the equipment will be delivered by us (or you can choose to collect it).
We deliver this equipment from warehouses in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth.
The information on this web page is exclusively about SilverChef deliveries of Certified Used and clearance equipment.
If you decide to rent or lease new equipment from SilverChef, the equipment will be delivered by the relevant equipment dealer. For more information, please contact the dealer.
You sign your Rent–Try–Buy or Lease-to-Keep agreement and pay the upfront costs or purchase the equipment outright.
We call you to confirm your delivery address, ask for any delivery instructions, and give you an estimated time of arrival.
We deliver the equipment to you, at which point your rental or lease payments begin (unless you’ve purchased the equipment outright).
If you rent or lease the equipment, you'll be informed of the delivery charge in the equipment quote we email you. If you purchase the equipment outright, you'll get the delivery charge after entering your shipping address during the online checkout process, or over the phone (if you purchase the equipment that way).
If you rent or lease the equipment, your equipment will be sent after you've signed the Rent-Try-Buy or Lease-to-Keep agreement and paid upfront costs. If you purchase the equipment outright, it will be sent after you have paid for the equipment.
You should receive your equipment within 1-8 business days, depending on your location. For a more exact timeframe, please contact us. SilverChef relies on third-party transport companies, so cannot be held responsible for any unexpected delays in the delivery of equipment.
Yes — during the checkout process you can choose the option to collect the Certified Used or clearance equipment, if it’s stored in a warehouse near you; or you can call us to let us know.

If you opt to collect the equipment, we'll arrange a mutually convenient collection time.
There are several scenarios in which customers may be able to return equipment to us.
For example, if the equipment we deliver to a customer does not match the advertised specifications or is damaged in transit.

We can deliver your equipment to you on a specific weekday at no extra cost; however, we do charge more to deliver it at an exact time (one between 8am and 4pm AEST).
We may, under exceptional circumstances, consider delivering your equipment to you on a Saturday or Sunday for an additional fee.

We offer standard kerbside drop-off (door-to-door) deliveries of equipment.
For an extra fee, our carrier can unpack the equipment for you and put it in the exact spot you intend to use it.

If you’re renting equipment from us and you decide to upgrade to a bigger, better or different piece of Certified Used or clearance equipment, we’ll call you to confirm your delivery address and time.
If you’d like us to take away your original equipment, please let us know.
No — if necessary, customers will need to arrange for a qualified professional to install their equipment at the customer’s cost.
Yes — someone will need to be present at the delivery address to sign for the equipment.
This is unless you and SilverChef agree — in advance, when you order the equipment — that we can drop the equipment off without anyone signing for it.
(In this case, we’ll give our carrier ‘authority to leave’ the delivery, allowing them to leave the equipment at the drop-off address even though the recipient isn’t present.)
